I love second chance romances and in Hold On Tight you get a second chance love story featuring a strong but damaged military hero along with a strong and resilient young woman who makes the necessary sacrifices to raise her son alone. Mia isn't a spoiled, over indulged, angst ridden twenty something who doesn't have her priorities in order. Mia is a young woman who has accepted the consequences of her choices and chose to make the best life possible for herself and her son. I love that Bell didn't hold any punches when it came to the difficulties and hurdles that Jake faced after coming home because of his traumatic injuries. This isn't a love story about a billionaire and some remarkably beautiful woman. Hold on Tight is a realistic contemporary romance. Mia and Jake are realistic characters with realistic problems, and an ultimately realistic love.
