HEALING EDEN starts of strong and opens in the midst of a battle where Reese is trying to sacrifice himself, but Galena will have none of it. Galena sees value in every life and is willing to stand up for Reese even when he is ready to relinquish himself.
HEALING EDEN has plenty of action and moves the over all story along nicely. Loyalties are questioned and tested in this one. Reese never wanted to fight for Maxis, but now he faces challenges bringing others onto the right side with him. There's a new dynamic added to the races that makes a big difference in how things are playing out.
Although the central element of HEALING EDEN is the romance between Reese and Galena, I found myself being more drawn into what was happening outside of their relationship. I'm not sure if that was because of the multiple points of views that the story is told from or not. I did enjoy seeing their relationship develop, it just didn't end up being my main focus. The world building is good in the Eden series and the expansion that happens in this one is a very nice twist.

About the Author
Rhenna Morgan writes for the same reason she reads—to escape reality.
Yes, her life rocks—two beautiful little girls, a great husband, a steady job, and the kind of friends that would take you out back if you hurt her. But, like most women, she’s got obligations stacked tight from dusk to dawn. So, when the world gets her down, she slips into something…less realistic.
Romance is a must. So is a steamy romp (or four). Nothing thrills her more than the fantasy of new, exciting worlds, strong, intuitive men, and the sigh of, “Oh if only that could happen to me.”
So, if you’re picking up one of her books, expect portals into alternate realms and men who’ll fight to keep the women they want. Romantic escape for the women who need it.
